What type of documents do you edit?
EBM Professional Services is qualified to edit any type of document. See Services for a list of documents you can submit to us.

What happens after a document is submitted to be edited?
We will email you a contract and instructions. You return the signed contract along with your complete document and your initial payment. We will then assign an editor to your project.

How long will it take to edit my project?
Projects less than 50 pages have a turnaround time of 5 – 7 business days. Longer documents (completed manuscripts, technical manuals, etc.) require more time, depending on the length. Rush jobs on projects are also available for an additional charge.

What are your terms and methods of payment?
One-half of all fees of $600 or more is due upon signing and returning the contract, with the balance due upon completion. Fees under $600 are due in full when returning the contract. However, in order to ease the financial burden on your budget, we will consider other payment structures on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to accommodate your needs.
We accept cash, personal checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders. There is a $30 processing fee for any check returned due to insufficient funds.

What if I’m under 18 years old and want my work edited?
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian to sign the contract and guarantee payment.

What can I expect for my fee?
Your document will be given two full edits. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about your document or the editorial process.

Is this service confidential?
Yes. EBM Professional Services will not sell, transfer, or share any client information with any other party. You maintain all intellectual rights to your documents, original and edited. EBM Professional Services reserves the right to keep a copy of all completed work for promotional purposes (upon your approval). EBM Professional Services will not reveal the identity or any information of the individual or business without your signed consent.

Can you guarantee that my edited manuscript will be accepted by an agent or publisher?
No. It would be unethical and untrue to guarantee that having your manuscript or article edited will result in publication. EBM Professional Services will guarantee to do our best work to in order to increase your chances of publication.

Do you have references I can contact?
Yes. References are available upon request.
